SA03: Utopian Architecture

SA03: Utopian Architecture draws inspiration from counterculture architects of the 60s and 70s for a better world. Now featuring apparel and home goods, Utopian Architecture originated with the creation of 'Radical Living Structure', our interpretation of modular living pods from Isaacs' manifesto, crafted with the Sidarta and Sandjaja architects.

Our garments utilize reused and naturally-dyed materials. Designs aim to express the counterculture spirit through the ‘Radical Living Structure’ and Space Available projects. Home objects made from recycled waste plastics, reflecting utopian shapes and themes. Some items in the collection were made with the Buckminster Fuller Institute, an organization that encourages "design science pioneers." Profits from these pieces will go to the institute to spread Fuller's wisdom globally.

  • Introducing Buckminster Fuller Institution x Space Available ‘do more with less’ - our latest collection inspired by counterculture architecture. Buckminster Fuller's words, "I am a passenger on the spaceship, Earth" encapsulates the essence of this revolutionary movement. Our responsibility as custodians of the planet has driven us from the beginning. Our ethos draws from counterculture ideas of the 60s and 70s for a better world.

Architectural works inspired our SA03 collection, featuring apparel and home items. Our 'Radical Living Structure' is based on Isaacs' modular living pods. Our structures are made from waste plastic. They have waste-to-energy systems and leave no footprint. Radical Living Structure, designed in 2022 with Sidarta and Sandjaja architects, inspired a series of objects reviving past concepts.

The Utopian Architecture collection utilizes upcycled and recycled materials, with natural dye when possible. Designs represent counterculture values of projects like 'Radical Living Structure'. The collection features recycled plastic vases, pen holders, and desk objects inspired by utopian thinking. Some pieces were made in partnership with the Buckminster Fuller Institute. All profits go to the institute for spreading Fuller's wisdom globally
