Space Talks #012: Nicole McLaughlin

New York-based designer Nicole McLaughlin creates clothes out of highly unusual found objects – ​​volleyballs, camera bags, and egg boxes among them. Her work highlights the importance of upcycling with the aim of changing people’s perception of waste and sustainable design. Here, she speaks with Dan Mitchell about designing in a world of excess, big brands approaching sustainability and the many ways in which we can look at trash as treasure.
